SOF Research Analyst – EXISTING CONTRACT

GOOSE GOSSAGE CONSULTING, INC. seeks a SOF Research Analyst to support U.S. Special Operations Command (USSOCOM), J52 Assessments Branch. This assistance primarily includes support to design, plan, and execute integrated reports and requirements for the J52 Assessments Branch. This position is at Headquarters, USSOCOM, MacDill AFB, Florida.

Position Description: 

· Conduct research and evidence-based, qualitative, and quantitative analysis to inform USSOCOM return on investment (ROI) analysis, campaign assessments, plans, and resourcing decisions.

· Conduct partner nation special operations forces (SOF) analysis, assist with U.S. SOF capabilities analysis, and other analysis tasks as required.

· Conduct research to determine USSOF and partner force operations, activities, and investments (OAIs) and identify outcomes of those OAIs in the context of campaign plan objectives and command priorities.

· Determine how the employment of USSOF is commensurate with campaign plan objectives.

· Identify data and information requirements and sources, execute data collection efforts, conduct analysis, and consolidate and validate analysis findings.

· Develop reports and briefing materials.

· Contribute to the development and execution of scientific methodologies to conduct analysis.

· Conduct technical editing on reports and other products.

Minimum Required Skills/Qualifications:

·  Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility.

·  Three years continuous experience conducting campaign assessments, ROI analyses, or cost-benefit analyses for the Department of Defense.

·  Minimum three years of continuous experience conducting analysis of OAIs in current operations (J3) or plans, policy, and strategy (J5) directorates.

·  Five years of experience conducting analysis and assessments.

·  Experience assisting in scientific research and analysis projects.

·  Experience conducting analysis of partner nation OAIs.

·  Experience conducting analysis of USSOF OAIs, capabilities, and capability gaps.

·  Ability to synthesize and arbitrate large and disparate sets of qualitative data.

·  Ability to organize, plan and author reports including finished assessment and analysis products.

·  Strong written and oral communication skills.

·  Demonstrated ability to write in clear, concise prose to present findings. Writing samples required.

·  Ability to demonstrate proficiency with MS Word, PowerPoint, and Excel. Demonstration of tech editing (Word, PPT) and Excel usage required.

·  Proven ability to work well in a small team environment.

·  Proven ability to take initiative and provide solution options for unique challenges.

· Demonstrated ability to manage workflows and organize files.

· Ability to prioritize multiple work tasks and meet deadlines, deliver products on time and within budget, and to quality standards.

· Demonstrated ability to function in a multi-disciplinary team.
